How to get a private swim time in our pool or the Fitness room? During Covid19 recovery, we keep these amenities available by having guests call or visit the Front Desk to sign up for a scheduled session. We schedule one room (or household) at a time so we can disinfect touch spots between uses keeping our IHG Clean Promise.
In better seasons, we have a basketball court, patio with grills and a putting green. Equipment can be checked out at the front desk.
Do you want to find some local delicacies to try? Right down Nesbitt road is a great place to try cheeses, home-made German sausage, sweets and so much more at Bavaria Sausage Kitchen. In summers they grill out brats for lunch and dine on their picnic tables.
Must See: Olbrich Botanical Gardens is amazing and one of the best in North America (free outdoors) and has an indoor tropical paradise ($6 & free for children under 5). In summer, you may see quite a few butterflies! Don’t forget to visit the front desk to grab a Staybridge Suites picnic blanket on your way out! Another great place to visit for free is our State Capitol Rotunda in the heart of the lake Isthmus. Across the streets are eclectic shops, cafes and two museums- Historical Society and Veterans.
The Pope Farm Conservancy has self-guided tours of the farm, crops, prairie restoration, trails, horseback riding, sledding, cross country trails, log cabin site, native American history & garden, watershed, stone fence and sunflower fields every other year or two.
Eugster’s Farm Market is a beautiful country drive from here located between Oregon and Stoughton. It has a Petting Farm, sunflowers, Lavender fields, Wisconsin food products, Christmas tree and the best sweet corn EVER!
Visit a great distillery next door and try their Lemon Drop cocktail or one of the best Old Fashions in a single bottle at Yahara Bay Distillers
Great Breweries nearby: Wisconsin Brewery, Vintage, Hop Haus, Karben4, Ale Asylum, Funk Factory, Giant Jones, Great Dane and Delta Beer Lab or you can try many Wisconsin brews at a nearby pub restaurant: The Flying Hound Alehouse.
If you like lakes, we have many with public parks, great for fishing with some having rentals such as kayaks, paddle boards, canoes and paddle boats. The closest location is only 3.9 miles on Lake Wingra. Check out MadisonBoats.com
Want to try some great nearby local Independent restaurants? Check-out Quivey’s Grove, a historic home and stable house property walking distance from the Staybridge which houses two different styles of restaurants with the more formal one in the beautiful stone house. Another great one nearby is Ollie’s, with a focus on local farms & producers. The Owner Dave Heidi was voted best Chef in Wisconsin and many other awards.
